Quick and Easy Sausage Balls
Who doesn’t love a biscuit bite with sausage and cheese? This recipe makes a hearty heaping of 48 large sausage balls. For every 4, they are about 3 net carbs.
- 4 C Bisquick, or Carbquick for my keto friends
- 8 oz Pork Sausage
- 2 C Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1 C Water
- Secret Ingredient, l o v e. Use as much as you can!
Preheat oven to 375°. With a mixer, blend all ingredients. Note: you do NOT cook the sausage first! It goes in the mixture raw! Mix until well blended.
With a large stainless steel scoop, form approximately 48 balls, placing them on a lined cookie sheet (you’ll need two). I prefer using a Silpat mat with my cookie sheets! Easy cleanup, no sticking, no premature burning.
Bake for 15 minutes or until they start turning golden brown.
Remove from pan and place in a paper towel lined dish for serving. The paper towel will absorb any excess oil and moisture. Serve warm. Mustard is delicious on these. Surprisingly, so is honey or syrup. Pick your condiment. Most importantly, you’ll taste the secret ingredient of love!
