It’s been several weeks since my last Trigeminal Neuralgia update, and I’m thrilled to share that I successfully navigated through Thanksgiving, Christmas, a 15-day cruise, and my youngest son’s engagement (pic included) with minimal issues. The essential oil roller bottle has proven to be my pocket-sized savior, bridging the gap between nerve medication and supplement doses.
Interestingly, I’ve observed that the more I talk, the more sensations I experience. The pain block I received is still holding strong, and for that, I’m immensely grateful. It’s been 10 weeks now since it was administered.
However, there was a unique incident this week that I feel compelled to share. I woke up one morning with immediate nerve sensations and a mild headache – an unusual occurrence in my TN journey so far. Upon investigation, I realized my pill organizer still held the nighttime dose from the previous night. It was a missed dose, the first of its kind. This incident further solidifies the effectiveness of my current regimen. While I prep my doses and leave the organizer in plain view, evidently my sleepy eyes took me straight to bed.
The relationship between my tinnitus and trigeminal neuralgia remains uncertain, but they seem to go hand-in-hand. The ringing in my ears has intensified, prompting me to introduce a new set of supplements in the hope of mitigating this issue. Despite the increased tinnitus, my Bluetooth eye mask has been a comfort at bedtime. I also have an oily concoction that I am trying.
Overall, I feel truly blessed that my current regimen is holding the excruciating and debilitating pain of TN at bay. While uncertain how long the pain block will continue its efficacy, I consider each day it works a blessing. In the event it ceases to be effective, I’m committed to scheduling an immediate appointment for another. Stay tuned for more updates on this journey with Trigeminal Neuralgia.
