Indulge in these succulent chicken skewers that effortlessly fall apart, bathed in a luscious homemade garlic parmesan sauce. Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs, or breast, cut into 3” pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce:
- 1 stick butter
- 8-10 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley, minced
Chicken Seasonings:
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
Prep and Skewer Chicken
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. Cut down as necessary to fit into your air fryer.
- Combine the chicken seasoning mixture; set aside.
- Cut chicken into 3″ pieces. Place in a ziplock bag. Add spices and olive oil and toss well. Let the chicken marinade for about 30 minutes.
- Skewer chicken tightly, ensuring no space between pieces.
Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce
- Partially melt butter and garlic in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Add red pepper flakes, hot sauce, parsley, and parmesan. Whisk until combined.
- For basting, scoop out 1/3 of the sauce; reserve the rest for cooked chicken.
Cook The Chicken
- Air fry 2-3 skewers at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
- Flip skewers, baste with sauce, cook an additional 2 minutes.
- Flip back, baste, and cook another 5-6 minutes until internal temp reaches 165 degrees.
- Finish with a final pass of the non contaminated (from raw chicken) reserved garlic sauce, sprinkle with extra parmesan, and serve.
