Slice of Christmas. An easy craft for all ages. Whether you recycle a fallen tree or buy your slices at Amazon, it’s a quick, easy, and inexpensive craft. You can customize the colors to match your decor. I’m using brighter colors this year, thus my turquoise ornaments.
- Ensure that your slices are smooth. Sand as necessary.
- Use acrylic paint, leaving a raw edge where the wood shows slightly. I find that the rings on the slices help me to form a natural rim.
- Let the base layer dry.
- Use a stencil or free hand a shape according to your taste. Find images you like, printing them to fit your slices. Trace or use tracing paper to stencil on your design. Fill in with the paint color of your choice. Fine tip paint pens can be your best friend!
- Let dry.
- Attach a cute coordinating ribbon.
